Radio Free Humanity, the Marxist-Humanist podcast series sponsored by Marxist-Humanist Initiative and co-hosted by Andrew Kliman and Gabriel Donnelly, first went on air on September 26, 2019.
Now, a little over five years later, Radio Free Humanity is approaching its 125th episode. Continuing a tradition from last year when we celebrated our 100th episode, we will do a special commemoration for the occasion. So, we are pleased to invite you to ChatRFH 2.0: Special 125th Episode of Radio Free Humanity which will be held on Sunday, November 10, from 1 to 3 pm, Eastern Standard Time (US). The event, which will be streamed live, will feature dialogue between the online audience and the co-hosts. (It will also be recorded and posted, so people who are unable to attend the event will be able to watch it.) Participation is open to all.
Please take this opportunity to engage with Andrew and Gabriel about subjects you want to discuss and questions you want to ask. Putting a podcast out can be rewarding, but we don’t want our contributions to the discourse to just sit there! Feel free to dialogue with us about recent episode topics, the presidential election, and other matters related to the show. When preparing questions or comments, please consider their length (not too long, please), as we only have two hours for the event.
Since last year’s ChatRFH, it has been a productive and fruitful year for Radio Free Humanity. We have done several episodes on Marx, including but not limited to: his critique of Darimon, an interview with the team of the latest translation of Capital into English, and discussions on Marx’s politics with William Clare Roberts and Paul Raekstad. Several of our episodes have focused on the struggle against Trumpism, including a discussion (with Jane Michaels) of the book White Rural Rage and the centrality of white rural voters to the Trumpist base. Beyond these recurring subjects, the show has been proud to produce one-off episodes on topics as important as escaping the Jehovah’s Witness cult, a discussion with an Israeli leftist on the so-called Left’s response to October 7, and an episode on the failure of transphobic politics.
